For the very first time, my work has been included in a book. A physical book, with a cover and everything. 800 of my words exist in print and I couldn’t be prouder.
“Writing in Community” is a collection of pieces from a bunch of talented writers within the
community and I’m honoured to have my words sit alongside these amazing voices. The published piece, entitled “Having the talk” is 800 important words from the professional confession I am currently working on. As the opening to the book, they introduce my conversation starter of a job, delivering sexual health education to young people outside of the school setting.
So, I take my que from published authors afore me and share the joy in my copy’s arrival.
A massive thank you to the London Writers Salon community. To everyone who’s cheered me on, given me feedback, or simply been there during my writing ups and downs. You are the writing family I am so happy to be surrounded by, on my journey to become a published author.
A firm believer in the saying “Happiness is a journey, not a destination” I recognise the vital role London Writers Salon plays in this happiness. Thank you.
If you would like to check it out, “Writing in Community, an anthology of the fourth year” hardback book is available through Lulu and the eBook is available through the LWS shop.
Awww wonderful you. Congratulations!
